Our Statement of Faith
- The Word of God: Belief in the absolute truth of God's Word, requiring literal, historical, and grammatical interpretation.
- Jesus Christ as God and Man: God became human in the Person of Jesus Christ, who has a human body, soul, and spirit.
- Christ's Role: Jesus Christ is the Creator, giver of grace and mercy, raises the dead, judges all, defeated Satan, and conquered death.
- Resurrection and Ascension: Christ’s bodily resurrection validates His claims, guarantees future resurrection, and His ascension marked the beginning of His headship over the church.
- The Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit unites, empowers, regenerates, indwells, and enables believers. He guides, assures, and equips for life and service.
- Creation and Fall of Man: God created man in His image; sin marred his nature, leading to physical and spiritual death, and separation from God.
- Sin and Repentance: Sin affects all humanity, but repentance—acknowledging, confessing, and turning from sin—is essential, with God's help enabling genuine repentance.
- Faith and Regeneration: Salvation begins with faith in Christ and continues through faith; regeneration gives a new divine nature, essential for entering God’s kingdom.
- Justification and Sanctification: Justification is by faith, and sanctification involves walking in obedience to God's Word through the work of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- Redemption: Christ's blood paid the price for redemption from sin, death, and God’s wrath, enabling a transformed life.
- Walking in the Spirit: Believers are called to live by the Holy Spirit, producing fruits like love, joy, and peace, and to resist walking in the flesh or worldly influences.
- Prayer: Prayer is essential for growth in Christlikeness and spiritual victory.
- Angels and the Devil: Angels are personal, spiritual beings with free will; some fell into sin, and Satan is a fallen angel, opposed to God and believers.
- Victory over Satan: Believers gain victory over Satan through abiding in Christ and resisting his schemes.
- The Church: The universal church is made up of believers, with local churches for worship, fellowship, and outreach. Worship, growth, and service are the church’s primary purposes.
- Ordinances: The church practices two ordinances—Baptism and the Lord's Supper—at the discretion of church leadership.
- Second Coming: Christ will return, raising the dead, transforming the living, and establishing His reign on earth for a thousand years.
- Judgment: There will be two judgments: the Judgment Seat of Christ for believers (rewards) and the Great White Throne Judgment for unbelievers (eternal punishment).
- Marriage and Sexual Morality: Belief in traditional marriage (one man and one woman) and that homosexuality, adultery, and other sexual sins are perversions.
- Christian Conduct: Christians are prohibited from suing other believers, called to sobriety, and must abstain from recreational intoxicants, including alcohol and drugs.
